Ronnie DePesa · I will play devils advocate. Trump won the popular vote in more states then hillary, hence he won more states. A large portion of Hillarys votes came from two very polarized states, NY and California. She won by huge margins there. The electoral colllege was part of the 'Virginia' plan before the 'great compromise'. so my quesion is this: whats more important winning more states, or winning the popular vote?? (Take california out and Trump wins a blow our both electoral and popular)
